A luxury hotel with Afternoon Tea in Istanbul

by Oliver Lind, Hotel Researcher
The Peninsula Istanbul is nestled in a prime location along the Bosphorus waterfront, and it has luxurious rooms overlooking Istanbul.

The new hotel is set in four impressive buildings: a former passenger terminal designed in the Bauhaus style in 1937, two restored Ottoman-era iconic gems, and a modern glass-and-bronze extension.

The design of 177 rooms was created by local interior design star Zeynep Fadilhoglu. The interior combines dark wooden furniture, pastel shades, elegant textiles, and rich Turkish flair.

The hotel's enchanted garden was designed by the Swiss landscaping master Enzo Enea. The outdoor swimming pool and lounge zone are right along the waterfront, while the 25-metre indoor pod is surrounded by Marmara columns and illuminated by overhead domes.

The main delight of all Peninsula hotels is an iconic Afternoon Tea. At The Peninsula Istanbul, it's happening at The Lobby with sweeping views of the Old Town and Bosphorus. This classy tradition of The Peninsula is accompanied by the house band, playing live daily.

Executive Pastry Chef Malte Rohmann created an exciting menu showcasing authentic Turkish and International delights daily from 3 pm to 6 pm.
